The graduate students of the University of Wisconsin-Madison welcome you to SLRF 2000!

In just several decades of its existence, the field of second language research has not only changed the way we think about the teaching and learning of a second language, but has also reshaped our knowledge of human language in general. Our theme expresses our goal to summarize the accomplishments made in the field of second language study in the twentieth century and to share our visions of the directions the field will take in the new millennium.

SLRF 2000 Proceedings will be published by Cascadilla Press.

SLRF takes a year off

We regret to announce that no one sent a proposal to host SLRF 2001. We would like to invite graduate students from universities in North America to submit a proposal to host SLRF in the Fall of 2002.

Meanwhile, you may wish to consider participating in PacSRLF, which will be held in the U.S. in the Fall of 2001.
