of the World Council of Churches to strengthen the WCC's Program to Combat
Racism, which criticized various aspects of international capitalism. East
Germany's foregin policy toward Mozambique and Angola was also influenced by

Discusses the case of Ernst Thalmann, who was arrested by the Nazis in 1934.
The International Trade Union Committee of Black Workers in Paris, and the

non-white peoples, with particular focus on British Asians. Argues that the

African Cultures - Sprichworter als Zugang zum Verstandnis von afrikanischen

This article argues in favor of the study of African proverbs in secondary
schools, as a way to promote intercultural tolerance and understanding.
Comparisons are made between African proverbs and German proverbs.

Discusses a growing "gender gap" between male and female runners, and notes a

Walters, Ronald (1995). Review title: The impact of 'Bell Curve' ideology on
African American public policy. American Behavioral Scientist, v39, n1, p98.
Suggests that the authors of The Bell Curve sought to substantiate
African-American unworthiness for government support in the form of such
programs as affirmative action, and that they employed a kind of racial
